You do not need to complete a screener before speaking to us.

Preparing for your remote learning assessment

Children under 16 must have a parent, guardian or agreed facilitator in the room for the entire remote assessment.

We will explain their role beforehand. They should sit behind the child, visible on camera where practical, without helping with test answers.

Please use a laptop, desktop computer or large tablet measuring at least 9 inches (23 cm), with a reliable internet connection, camera, microphone and speakers or headphones. We will check that your equipment meets the requirements of the tests being used. Mobile phones, small tablets and iPad minis are unsuitable for testing.

Choose a quiet, well-lit room without interruptions. Position the camera with your head and shoulders visible, and follow the assessor’s instructions about any adjustments needed.
